Our Vision & Mission
Our vision is to provide a firm foundation for the generation
Our Mission is to provide a homelike environment conducive for learning and growth, facilitate the development of an all round personality academically physically, spiritually and morally.

Our Approach
Our curriculum is time-tested, unique to Green Acorn, and crafted by our own director. This customized curriculum is Competence Based, and draws from the new Kenyan Curicculum, which seeks to produce globally competitive citizens who are innovative, problem solvers, decision makers and individuals who display a high sense of self confidence and moral uprightness.
Our curriculum emphasizes more on practical skills on what a child can do rather than obsession with reproduction of content for the purposes of passing an exam. The application aspect of knowledge acquired is prominent. Our approach emphasizes more on doing and learning rather than schooling.
What We Offer
Curriculum
Play is fun, but it is also how young children learn. Through play, they learn conflict resolution, respect, creativity, independence, and self-confidence. Rather than just passive learning, play encourages children to actively engage in their world and become mini “scientists”—exploring, manipulating, and interacting with their environment. Play allows them to investigate, create, and discover; it motivates them to take risks; and it adds to their understanding of the world.
Programs
Cre'che (Daycare) 1 year - 2 years
Our Toddler program encourages children to use their bodies, senses and their emerging problem-solving skills to learn about and make sense of their world in the ways most meaningful for them. We balance individual attention with group experiences and ensure that your toddler is using all that energy in productive ways
Apple (Playgroup) 3 years - 4 years
As three-year-old’s gain more self-esteem, they often feel ready to take on the world. In Apple class, we foster that confidence by providing activities to help children become problem-solvers and lifelong learners.
Mango (PP1) 4 years - 5 years
We fill our mango class with hands-on projects and active play. Academically, we emphasize literacy and math, and dedicating blocks of time to skill mastery. We then spark students’ interests by tailoring the curriculum and giving children leadership opportunities to explore, investigate, hypothesize, create and discover. This gives them ownership of their learning as well as critical practice in problem-solving, communicating and collaborating.
Pre-Unit (PP2) 5 years +
PP2 emphazises on the holistic development of the learner. This can be achieved by embracing the thematic intergrated learning approach which is ideal for teaching learners in their formative stage of development. The themes are derived from things and situations that learners are likely to interact with everyday life.Learning at the pre- primary level is expected to be flexible hence a theme may be interrupted to enable learners use an emerging situation as the learning theme for the period..
